BENJAMIN SHIN | Chairman/Director
New Life Vision Church; Los Angeles, CA & Talbot School of Theology
Benjamin C. Shin has served in the ministry as a pastor, parachurch leader, and professor for more than 25 years. He is a graduate of UCLA, Talbot School of Theology, and Dallas Theological Seminary. He enjoys reading, music, sports (especially the UCLA Bruins), and spending time with people. His vision and passion includes mentoring leaders, re-building churches, and teaching the Word of God. He is married to his bride, Jen and has 2 wonderful boys named Adam and Zachary. He currently serves as the Teaching Pastor at New Life Vision Church in Glendale, CA and as an Associate Professor of Bible Exposition and Director of the Asian-American Ministry track for the Doctor of Ministry at Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, CA. He is the co-author of Tapestry of Grace: Untangling the Cultural Complexities of Asian American Life and Ministry.
JOHN KIM | Vice-Chairman
Lighthouse Bible Church of Los Angeles
John M. Kim has served in pastoral ministry as a youth pastor, EM pastor, church planter, and ministry consultant/counselor for over 30 years. He is a graduate of UCLA (1988), the Master’s Seminary (1991), and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Talbot School of Theology. He enjoys reading biographies and historical accounts, music by Steven Curtis Chapman, and supporting the LA based sports teams, especially UCLA (Go Bruins!!), the Dodgers, and the Lakers. John has been committed to the ministry of church planting since 1998 and has been privileged to participate directly with three church plants (San Diego, San Jose, and Los Angeles). He has been married to Angela since 1989 and has 4 daughters, a son-in-law, and a dog. He currently serves as the senior pastor of Lighthouse Bible Church LA in Glendale, CA and also coordinates the Lighthouse Alliance network of churches (San Diego, San Jose, Los Angeles, and Orange County. John met his wife Angela at UCLA KACF (which is what it was called back in the 80’s) and is forever thankful to God for the campus ministry and is excited to support and participate in helping CCM represent Christ on the college campuses to God’s glory.
David Kim | Treasurer
Cerritos Missions Church; Cerritos, CA
David Kim serves at Cerritos Mission Church as the English Ministry lead pastor. He is married to Ruth with two teenage daughters. Since graduating from University of California San Diego, he has over 20 years of pastoral ministry experience. He graduated from Talbot School of Theology in 2000 with his M.Div. Degree. He is back at Talbot getting his Th.M degree in Bible Exposition. He and Ruth have completed Sonship Mentoring program through Serge (formerly World Harvest Mission). And, he is currently a candidate with Serge mission agency (serge.org) to become a Sonship Mentor. Pastor David's passion is knowing, experiencing, and equipping others the power of the gospel in the church.

Twenty-four years ago, David married the God-loving, people-caring, beautiful girl he met, Mimi while at CCM UCSD (then called KACF). Together they have raised three children – Madeline, Sophia and Joshua. David has spent 25 years in vocational ministry serving in various roles including as a chaplain in the United States Air Force, English ministry of ethnic churches and as a missionary to China. David has a heart for discipleship in the local church, to serve and train those in pastoral ministry and be part of a multiplication movement of churches transformed by the power of the gospel. David enjoys reading, biking, playing tennis, watching college football and eating pizza.
